Not quite sure how a dad can let this happen

a day after the body of her one-year-old sister was also discovered in the snow.

This is one thing I missed, a day after?:o

Bottom line, is it is a sad situation, and the only ones to lose were the poor kids:( It is very distrubing with some of the parents these days, (lady here in CO poored fuel over here kids and lit them on fire) and then their are people that would do anything to have a family and can't

There was a similar situation up here in MN, I think in the Cass Lake area..about a year or so ago. (correct me if I'm wrong.) Where the 2 toddlers around the same age wandered off to the river, not in cold temps like we are having now, but cold nonetheless. Parents weren't watching was the case there, and they were found dead. It is sad to say some people of these careless, thoughtless people are on this planet, and are parents. Kids in my sense are a parents pride and joy, the little things they do light up their life. You see them grow up, and experience things with them..least thats what I had as a kid and am very blessed. People are so selfish these days, they don't realize half the stuff they do affects their children. God bless those two little girls, and hopefully they have a better life where they are at now.

I agree this stuff is nuts. a month ago down here a diaper head shot his 2 daughters because they asked to go on a double date with 2 white guys. Then takes off an high tails it to get away from the po po. Big tough guy with all his Muslim ideals then can't face the consequences.

Tell me about it! We adopted our 2 boys. The younger one is 18mo old now, and although he is doing fine, developmentally, he has terrible instantaneous mood swings and resorts to outright screaming at the drop of a hat. This behavior appears to be a consequence of his birth mother drinking and using HEROIN while pregnant!
On a good note, the one thing that grabs his attention the longest and calms him down is watching snowmobiles on TV. Never heard a peep out of him during the XGames, except when he was making snomachine noises or pretending to crash his scooter when the riders were casing the big jump during freestyle! (And he will ride ALL DAY in the snowcoach (pull behind kid's snomobile trailer) without a complaint.....even if he's cr@pped his pants!)

now that's just funny. and back to the original problem, this guy should be put in a diaper and tied to a tree and left out overnight. see how he likes it!

I'm quite familiar with that reserve. We sold them a bunch of farm equipment about 10 yrs ago. They got a big settlement via land claims and had to spend the money to buy land, so they bought out a bunch of farmer in the immediate area (who got top dollar for it at the time). Things went fairly well for the first couple years. They had a bunch younger guys that were determined to make it work and prove people wrong. To make a long story short, the typical reserve mentality kicked in, and the people that weren't involved were jealous of seeing these guys doing as well as they were and tried to get their hands on the pie. Grain and livestock were going missing. Equipment sabotaged. The band votes out the chief over jealousy. The whole ball of wax. They defaulted on the equipment loans and it all came back. The guys that originally sold the land are renting it back for pennies on the dollar and are laughing all the way to the bank.

The thing that really pi$$es me off is the fact the finger pointing at the government is already starting from the reserve. For those people to turn things around, they have to help themselves first. A reserve like this one has every chance in the world to be very successful in today's world, but the band members keep dragging themselves down. I feel terrible for the kids there, because they don't have a chance in hell with the way their parents act. It's truly sickening...

But hey, it's easy to blame the white man... Pass the whiskey.

update

paper says today the dad was trying to take the girls to the neighbors becuase "something was wrong with one of them"

criminal investigation is starting.

side note, I guess the chief had been trying to make the reserve a "dry" reserve

efforts continue.

Thanks mtnlvrxtreem! I'll take the :beer; and one for my wife too!
Yeah, this broad was messed up big time. 41years old, has 2 daughters back east that she abandoned with their grandparents a few years ago. A real winner she was.

the parents on a lot of reserves just dont give a flying phoque. i live between 2 reserves and one is known for crack, meth and gangs. these kids 5-18 are complete morons and they follow exactly in there mother and fathers footsteps as complete low lives. kids around 7 years old walking around smoking, drinking, and being a$$holes. where are the parents??? probably at the casino down the road.

now there are "some" that dont partake in that crap and are actually very nice to talk to and get along with but the rest think there 50cent or a gang banger. those should be put on a ditch and told to dig. waste of time, money, and air.

rant over.

Pretty pathetic excuse for a father. I was reading in the paper the other day that he used to take care of them while the mother went out and partied... WTF kind of parents are these? Sheesh.

Found this music video, kinda interesting on their take on things...

What blow's me away is that this guy will end up being a victim
You and I would be in prison but this guy probably hit the liquor store on the taxi ride home from the hospital
I say sterilize him and make him alergic to alcohol and let him experience real life for a while
