Nose cone block off

Just wondering what/if anyone is using any type of block off to stop snow from coming in the back side of the nose cone?

So maybe this is a dumb question. But wouldn't some regular 'ol heat tape / gorilla tape down there do the same thing?? Or is that snow forced in there some way where tape won't hold?

Lot of heat right there under the pipe. It might work. Some guy on here made his own with some plastic and a heat gun to shape it. You can try. Only have some burning tape to lose.
