northeast usa snowbikers?

I just snow checked a new kit. Will be my first year, jumping ship from a sled and gunna give it a try. Over in the U.P. Of Michigan. We have some fun terrain to play on

Midwest Snowbiker

I ordered one as well, I went with a Moto Trax kit as they seem to talk the most about it being trail friendly. Have you had any troubles registering it to use on the trails? I am running into a few hurdles as I have been told that no one has proved that a snowbike can meet the emissions or sound standards that snowmobiles have to meet? Are we going to be causing issues for the snowmobilers, running our bikes in the midwest? I want to be able to use it in Wisconsin and Michigan but I am torn on how much I push it. Have you had any resistance in your area's? I talked with Ed Klim with ISMA and he stated the western states are open arms with them, but the Midwest is scared to open it up with the amount of private land owners we have that supply the land for the trails.

I don't own one yet but hopefully this fall. I actually know several people who have jumped into the sport recently. Rave X motorsports has several riders on SB's. They are a perfect fit for the new England riding style I think it is going to get real popular in the next couple years.

Was wondering if there is anyone out here ridding besides me? seems all you guys are out west

We have a pretty big group from southern NE. I am a Timbersled dealer in CT but we have snowbike riders/customers from VT, RI, NY, CT and Maine. We ride all over the place including Maine, Quebec, Vermont, Connecticut and out west. I planned on putting together some snowbike rides this year but only rode here a couple times because of the weather. Went out west twice instead.

I ordered the mototrax enduro, sounds like a nice all around kit and they claim they handle most like a dirt bike. Also awesome price point compared to others! But I haven't been hearing of any issues in the U.P. at all. We don't have emission testing to worry about that I have ever heard of. Im sure the private land owners don't appreciate the big thumper noise though
