Wow, now I kinda regret posting this thread at all. I seldom bring my camera, or post pics on the forum. I thought someone would be interested to see what the conditions were like at the pass, since this is the riding areas forum.
Mike is correct it never was a "club ride", just a bunch of guys getting together to go ride. There just happened to be some club members on the ride.
Because of the efforts of the prez and others to increase membership, the club is larger! Which means, odds are there is going to be club members present at almost every ride I go on!
At every meeting the prez ask's if anyone wants to host a club ride. Very seldom does anyone speak up. (I am just as guilty as the next guy of this.)
However one thing the club is very good at is work parties. Most everyone chips in to lend a hand, and we get alot of good things done to help our sport!
Since no one had been up to the pass yet, we didn't know what the conditions were like. When we came to that big arse slide. We had to decide if we were going to cut through it, or turn around and go home. We dicided to press on.
So everyone pitched in, we worked hard, and got the trail cut through. It reminded me of a good old fashioned Northwest Glacier Cruisers work party! Getting the job done! Which is why I (obviously mistakenly) refered to it as such.
Sorry for the confusion
Bill
