I deleted my thermostat this summer and installed a cyberdyne temp gauge. What temp am I looking for before pinning the throttle, what is my normal operating temp range, and what is too hot?

too hot is 140 up for good performance but the motor will take a little more. just keep it below 140 for sure and you will not burn from heat.

OMG you are right.
I don't know what I was thinking. Too much time in the off season I guess.
I tend to idle my sled till it hits 80, then stop till I am dressed.
105 to 120, alert at 140. My bad.

BTW great quote from Kaleb,Backcountyislife!
