Non-Traditional Turbo Dragon 800 Clutching/Gearing

I have a TD8 that I just reclutched. It had 76g Dalton Weights, Yellow/Green spring(not sure brand/numbers, but stiff), 38-48 progressive Team Helix (not sure spring), 19/41 gears running the 115 Polaris belt. The setup pulled hard up top, but off idle response would leave a little to be desired, on off throttle while in the boost was good. Belt heat sucked like all the Teams I have been around. BTW, running 12-13 lbs of boost and I rode it 8 times this way in the mountains.

In comes the Paragon secondary. That word in itself would lead to a huge discussion. I have ran this secondary on my old 995 with success and so I put in on the new/used sled I picked up this summer.

75/135 Polaris Purple Primary Spring, 55g base weight-58g total weight Heavy Hitters (ground 4g off heavy base, added 1 back at base, 3g in middle, 3 grams at end), Paragon Secondary with a 58/55 helix and a compression spring, 080 Polaris belt, 19/46 gearing.

All I can is this is a SUPER responsive(as in way better off idle and while on and off climbing) and still pulls like a freight train on the big end. Oh yeah, and way, way cooler belts.

Granted this setup is not something everyone will go out on a limb and try. It is just some food for thought on our current clutching trends of huge spring pressures and weights......

Eli, was it you a long while back that was running like 54g and a pink spring in your primary with your 925 or 995?

Only difference between this and my 995 is I ran a 58-53 helix and 51g 10
Series Polaris weights. The turbo at 12-13 lbs makes more power, but lacks the grunt of the PSI!
