Non-ethanol gas?

I am new to Washington from Montana. In Montana we had the option of getting non-ethanol gas for our sleds. I have only ridden one time since moving here and had left over gas. My question is, what do you put in your sleds to either cut down on the ethanol or do you just run ethanol gas with no problems?

During riding season I never worry about it, I end up riding about every 5 days.
For storage during the summer, I usually have a couple gallons in the tank and I treat it with Stabil, a fuel stabilizer. I have had no issues with doing this. :D

I was wondering this same thing as I am also new to the state. I'm assuming something like STA-BIL would work if you worried. I also doubt that it would be a problem to run on leftovers, especially considering you'll fill up on fresh gas before you go out again. I believe there are places to get ethanol free gas around here, but I don't know what everyone's solutions are

I was wondering about that SEA-FOAM stuff? kind of expensive but a petrolium not ethinol based product for both storage and potential water issues??? CFI sleds???

sea foam issues

I read a few forums last year (mainly in the arctic cat) section where guys had put that in and withing 1 tank or not even that much the sled just stopped running. Didn't ever hear if the problem was direct or coincidentally related. I won't run it in my old 96 just due to what I've heard. That's just one's personal opinion. If you use it post how is goes after the next couple of tanks.

We have many ethanol free gas stations in the Yakima Valley. In town I never use gas with ethanol in it.

Were they running it to combat ethanol in the fuel? Seafoam is made to clean stuff, carbon and injecters. You need something that is made to combat ethanol in the fuel Do a search on Star-tron great stuff IMO.

where?

When was the last time you bought some?
The last i knew of was Smittys Conono on Fruitvale and I heard they switched to E10 now also. I'm about to start riding and I would really like to know. The Chevron in Naches held out till about half way through last season and that screwed me bad since it's only a couple miles from my house.
If you know for sure please let us know.

Thanks

i believe that the federal government is pushing ethanol fuel on gas stations. There was a shell here that held out for a long time (the owner is snowmobiler) and now finally switched to ethanol fuel because he said it was costing him a lot more money to buy the non ethanol fuel so he was pretty much forced to change. it is getting harder and harder to find non ethanol fuel.

What about the sta-bil ethanol addative? Its $10 at walmart, treats like 80 gallons. says something about protecting and curing ethanol problems, along with moisture removal...? We've always ran the iso-heat in our sleds...

Just an F.Y.I
Many marinas sell ethanol free gas. It may be a little more expensive (since everything to do with boats is) but it's an option, especially for that last fill-up before storing the sleds for the season.

I use the blue stabil. Marine formula.
