Thats a long ways to go from Coeur d 'Alene/Post Falls to get non eth. gas.

The gas station on 4th(best) and Appleway has advertised non-ethanol 87 octane gas. I think its about 20 cents more a gal last time i checked. Since all our gas comes from Spokane, (mandated ethanol state) I dont know if it actually is non-ethanol. I use it in all my small engines. whether or not actually is, I dont know. Is there some easy test to determine if there is ethanol in gas?

seems to me by the octane rating, it is actually higher octane to run non-ethanol 87 octane vs 92 octane with ethanol.

This fall I saw that one of the stations in St Maries had a sign claiming non ethanol premium. I didn't stop.

Cfn

check with the local cfn (comm. fueling network) or local card lock companies . I have one from the local chevron dealer and it is on the way out of town and easy to stop at for the sleds and bikes!!!
