So I have had my 900 just this season. The first few times I rode it I noticed it was really pipey, stutters to about 7,000 then hold on for dear life.
High Mark in Boise built the motor ( before I bought it), it has some serious port work done on it. So I contributed the rough running mid range to that.
So I decided to clean the VES Valves. on my previous 700s - 800s I cleaned them about twice season.
No VES Springs.
So I put yellow ones in, I had a set.
Much smoother mid range idles better starts better runs much better cold.
Why Would anyone remove them completely????
Was this some backyard performance , drag racing trick ?
