No snow at Crooked Creek? YA RIGHT!! watch this..

looks like fun. Definitely advantages to knowing the area and staying away from the big togwotee crowds. Thanks for the vid.

link doesnt work for mobile phones, but does work on a desk top, cant figure out how to change that setting..

Do the crowds get that bad were heading to towgette next week and were thinking about crooked creek but they didnt have a hot tub and only a few beacons to rent are we making a mistake?

yes crowds are terrible up there, asses to elbows.. Crooked Creek is cheaper, way more relaxed the staff is incredibly helpful and cater to you in every way! plus if you have to have your fix of togwotee pass its only 20-30 minutes to load up sleds and drive there, as far as the beacons go i think Line Shack has some to which is literally just down the road. If you like the party crowd yes go to Tog mountain lodge, but if you like great people who are personable and can actually talk to with out having to yell at eachother then go to CCGR..

I agree about Crooked Creek...BTW...did you see the car stuck in the medow from the waitress at the line shack...lost a bet and we tried pulling her out with our sleds...no go

IMO Togwotee is mostly for ppl renting sleds, the overpriced food and drinks at the log was a bit crazy compared to the smaller resort.

AND, there is snow to be found if you're willing to look for it.

Ya right, that's what we said when we walked in the first night, some guy told us, "good luck finding fresh snow." Turns out we didnt need luck, just needed to get off the trail.

This was at the beginning of the month but there are still people finding good snow now.
The area is virtually endless down there so go give Terry and Cindy your business.

We found plenty of great snow riding out of the Union Pass area (Crooked Creek area) the last week. Just had to be willing to explore a little bit. Spent five days riding and every one we had untouched meadows and drainages to rip up.

Places like these were untracked (until we got through with them...):
