Well I filled out my build for a snow check sent it to a couple dealers for pricing and never had a call or e-mail with a price. Also called a couple dealers with info on my trade and wanted pricing but of course no call back. Business must be good if you can blow off sales like this. SO WHO WANTS TO SELL ME A SLED?

So I will put it out here and maybe someone knows a dealer that is interested in my trade and some cash.

Here is my trade: 2009 154x 800r Summit
CPI Port and Polish, with CPI's tuned pipe and can.
DJ complete clutch kit for the primary and secondary
2010 rear skid upgrade
Boss seat
RSI 10" riser
9" billet rear idlers
Billet thermostat kit
skid plate, complete vent kit
Plus a skidoo tunnel bag, jerry can, windshield bag, riserbag.

I am sure one of you guys know someone who wants to sell a 2013 PRO RMK.
My contact info is:
mike@friscospices.com
402 339 0550, ask for mike.

The mods to your sled may scare them off. What would make you happy on trade for your sled? You are not the first person I have heard of having a hard time finding a dealer who want's trades.

BTW, I PM'd my dealer on here for price on a new sled and I got blown off too. Guess I need to go into the dealership and do the deal.

From experience, pretty hard to accurately appraise something you can't see. They could at least email/phone you to tell you that, however.

Your right but you know they will low ball it anyway then when they see it hopefully a deal can be made, or not. I can cash out on the deal too but would like to at least have an option. I am sure if I find a couple dealers willing to at least shoot a price I can sell the sled to someone who can buy it for the same money as the dealers cost and they would be a happy camper. Not looking to really get my money back for mods just expect mine would have a bit higher value than stock. Someone looking to upgrade to an xp that rips over a stocker may find it more appealing.

I was trying to order a snowcheck last year (no trade) and actually had two big dealers from my state that never did contact me back.
The nearest large volume dealer to where I live had a couple of chances. I called twice and left my card with a salesman when I stopped in and they were going to get back to me with pricing and never did.
Eventually I bought from another small family run dealer about 40 miles away and that worked out great.

I'm not sure where in Nebraska you are from but if you are on the NE/East side this one may be worth the drive. I know a lot of people that buy from this place and they have had nothing but great things to say about them.

I live in Nebraska so I do need to be somewhat picky about who I buy from. I ride in Laramie, Rabbit ears, togwotee, and cooke city. So I guess eastern Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming central to east. Southern Minnesota or eastern Iowa would be ok

Thats crazy, I have been contacted three times by my local dealer "Pierre Polars" in regards to my submitted snocheck. But come to find out my girlfriend already took care of the snowcheck for our anniversary.

jon is a good guy. he will always take care of you

The whole email system seems to be very unreliable when it comes to snowmobile dealers. I speak from experience. I would try calling or showing up in person.

Sheehan cycle Watertown sd

Call matt steen at Sheehan cycle. Easy to work with and tough to beat their prices. Usually quite fair on trades too. 605-886-6193

I called Kurts Polaris in Seeley Lake, MT and was treated great. I know it is probalby not going to work for you since it is so far away but anyone else in the area thinking about snowchecking one might want to call them. Everyone that does the snow check gets their name thrown in a hat for drawings. Drawings include free riding gear, custom wraps from some big names and some other polaris add-ons and a chance to win your snowcheck, free and clear with your $500 back in your pocket. So if there are only 100 snow checks you have a 1/100 chance to win a 2013 sled.

Call Frontier Cycles in Laramie and talk to Dave, the sales manager. They are an excellent shop with honest answers and outstanding customer service after the sale. Plus, they are right near where you ride, so convenient location as well.

If you ride Northern Colorado and Laramie, check out Jed at the dealership in Cheyenne. I bought my sled from him in 2011. Good guys. I might buy from him again.

Stay away from Boulder Powersports in Boulder Colorado. Had problems with sled last year, multiple trips to them didn't fix anything, even with a warranty.

Cheyenne sales person has had my info on my trade since wednesday and never responded with a trade price. If its a no, at least give me a response. WTF is up with this piss poor communication. I never talked with Jed but I hope he reads this and knows how his sales people blow off sales. I am sure I will sell my sled before the snow checks come out, afterall every bid I have had so far is $1,500.00 off the trade value so even if I give a guy a deal he will be way better off than buying from a dealer. I bought the 2011 RMK I own now from him less than a year ago, you would think they would value a customer. I guess my nexy call is to Maverick and start checking the new summit out.

I would pick up the phone and call them. The online submit forms don't always work, and sometimes they send an email with your email address so there is a chance that you went to the SPAM filter. They should be checking in there, but it is simple enough that it could have slipped through the cracks.

I personally would overlook someone forgetting to call you back, or maybe possibly having lost your info if the dealer can take care of me, sell me a sled at a fair price and if they have a good setup. I'd take that any day over the dealer that calls me back but has a bad setup and poor after sale care.
