no diamond drive drain plug.....Help!!!!!!!

So i finally ripped my clutches off etc to get it ready for tomorrows first ride of the year and ive always had the dealer service my diamond drive. Since its an 05 m7 i figured i better learn how so thought id try it myself, and they were right it was easy unitll i noticed my diamond drive doesnt have a drain plug just the casting where its supposed to be... Now im scared should i just split the case and re-seal it? should i try to drill it and install the drain plug....... should have waited unitll monday. Help !!!!!!!!!!! Please.

Where are you looking for the drain plug at? It should be inside the tunnel on the backside of the drive. Takes a 7/16 wrench I believe.

The Diamond Drive has a drain plug...........even on your sled. It has a part number of 0623-293.

Look at the bottom and it should be a hex headed plug on track side.

I just changed DD fluid for someone on a 05 drain and fill on the inside of tunnel. Tipped sled on its side to drain then tipped sled on the other side to fill. My 06 has fill and drain.

x2

As stated above and you will get all the oil out, just leave on side for a bit.I do this regularly and always measure what i catch and it is the same as what i put in.It is the way the drain sits at the bottom on the 05...get a long tube to fill,,:D
