No brake pressure - Need Advice

Need some advice. I just took off my brake caliper so i could install my new lower gears. Somehow the pressure built up when it was off and i had to bleed the line to get the brake pads to separate so i could place it on the brake disk. I'm thinking i had to get air in the line somehow because after i reinstalled the brake caliper and tried to purge the line, I still have no pressure. I checked the cylinder and it seems to be half full. Any suggestions or tips to try and get it back working properly. Thanks

That's where I'm at in bleeding the system and for some reason I can get it to bleed for me. I've tried a few times with no luck and still no pressure

Squeeze brake lever couple times then hold pressure. Crack bleed screw till lever hits handle. Without releasing tighten bleed screw. Repeat until you have good pressure. I had to do the same with my sprockers too and I was able to squeeze handle and tighten bleed screw at same time until fluid came out and it was good.

Make sure you top off that reservoir on your master cylinder before you start bleeding.

The master cylinder has 2 holes in the bottom of the resivour. They allow fluid into the piston. One lets excess fluid back into the resivour as the lever is squeezed. If it gets plugged, it won't allow a full charge into the piston or it will prevent pressure to be made. It is really small and that could be your problem. On the newer brakes it is under a rubber diaphram in the bottom of the master. That diaphram is a press fit and just pops out it prevents brake fluid from squirting up in the air if you squeeze the lever with the lid off. Run a straight pin in the hole to clean it out. You can buy a cheap syringe at the Walmart Pharmacy to suck out the brake fluid. The fluid will destroy the syringe so just throw it away after you are done.
