Hello people

me and my buddy were talking last night and he would like to get a nitro either a mtx or xtx and turbo it. now i know that it shouldn't be a problem but he wants to do this and run it at sea level to 2671' MAX and run premium pump fuel. were not looking for 300 HP just maybe 180 to 200 HP. is this possible at our elevation? if so what kit would be the best for this? were not real interested in always tuning and testing. just a pull and go sled. any help would be great!

Thank you very much!

Troy

Look at Impulse. You can run 15lbs of boost (250+hp) at sea level on pump gas. If you ever want more power, it's already there, just run some race fuel. Best part no tuning ever just set up the clutches like he says and ride. Mcx and alpine make good kits too.

Give Alpine Motorsports a call in Salmon Arm. Low boost kit 200hp on premium.....no fuss, no adjustments

Nytro boost

You will not have a problem with the elevation and premium fuel as long as you run a head shim on higher boost #'s I personally feel if you are going to put out over $5,000 and get 180hp, you will soon want more. Most stage 2 kits for these sleds are around $7500 and can produce from 240-280hp on premium fuel at your elevations. 50hp for $5000 or 150hp for $7500??? Just some food for thought.
I've been running stage 2 and 3 for over 3500mi and always either premium or av gas. last year on stage 3 I only ran premium and had boost levels at max recomended with premium(16lbs) and never had a problem. I've actually seen the needle at nearly 20lbs(arrrrg) but considered that a spike and will not do that intentionally with out C-12.
Most people with boost would recomend that you buy from someone who can give you the help you need after the fact. Also that the install is the key to a good running system, no matter who the mfg is. Your a long way from most turbo builders/dealers so hope that isn't a big problem for you.
Enjoy the boost!!!!

ok i've done quite a bit of research and i think i'm going to go with the MCX 180 kit for a nytro xtx and will be running it from 0 - 3000' MAX!

now my next question is what size lug track should i go with as an upgrade from the 1 1/4"?

i want to be fast for up hill drags, but i still want to be able to climb good in powder without doing wheelie's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
