That's what wrong with the NHL today, G Bettman has the players yappin and posing, the star's in the league are all getting ran by morons who should be plumbers! Expansion to some of the markets where there is no fan support has made NHL paychecks for lots of plumbers. The league would be much better with 6 fewer teams and no instigator rule! The players would be able to settle beefs on the ice and all the cheap shot mouthpieces would go to trade school. When half the league is getting social assistance from the other half you have a communistic scene that cannot continue. If the fans don't support hockey then fold the team or move where they will support you! Rant over.

i won't argue with that, kinda the same thing thats goin on in nascar (to a varying degree)...
only thing i'll add is that during the regular season this is of less impact, in the playoffs though the intensity ramps up quite a bit, i think the refs are way to quick to whistle on most stuff... but they aren't wrong to hand out penalties for it when they do... playoffs are about hockey, not about vendettas... that crap should be dealt with during the regular season...
I remember a numbre of years ago after a REALLY rough playoff series Claude Lemeiux got his azz handed to him at the next regular season meeting... can't remember which team dealt that out but remember it being an amazing amount of punishment they laid out on the guy (iirc they actually ended up taking him out of the game for injury)...

Rick Rypien is going to get back at Eager, I can tell you this right now, the guy is a few bricks short of a full load, I love watching him play hes a nut. However saying that I think its what Eager wants, hes getting some of the canucks mad and will not fight so they take penalties on him to get back at him, could this be his strategy? Eager is going to get messed up bad this series though in my opinion, there is too much bad blood between these teams, what great hockey!
I dont think the canucks will give up a lead like that again, thats going to be their worst game against the hawks, they didnt have the energy left in the third to win the battles, this will change as they get back into game shape after the time off.

your going down tonight, I hope fuglyian gets dropped that big bastard! What does it take to knock the guy off the puck? a dozer? Chicago actually looks really good right now, if the nucks dont come out with a good effort tonight, and stop the turnovers and defensive zone breakdowns, this series will be over, hawks have some huge confidence right now, and Lou dosnt seem to be on his game, now with Salo down and Demitra possibly down, its gonna make things interesting. Still sticking with my nucks in 6, but if they dont show up tonight and play as well as they did down the stretch of the regular season, it will be hawks in 6.
