NGK Spark Plugs

It's all I run. Ran them in my 11 and running them in my 13. They are harder to foul so since I run extra oil in the tank, it's a little extra insurance that I won't be needing to swap out plugs.

Just my opinion but SLP recommends that plug also.

What he said.

I've noticed no performance increase... but being more resistant to fouling for me is big... I only use one pair per season... and switch out just to be "fresh" at the beginning of the next season.

I run those in my 08 Dragon, and I had the dealer install them on my 2012 800 RMK when he uncrated it. I've never fouled one yet. Like MH said, you should always put a new set in before each year. Well worth the extra few bucks.

They are more susceptible to fouling when you add oil but it depends on how much you add. But I honestly would rather foul plugs all the time then run with the stock oil to fuel ratio.

..hence the reason to run an Iridium plug. No fouling.

I just bought NGK plugs at the dealership, not Iridium though.
The parts guy told me to not share them with anyone on a 2012, but I could share with a 2011 or a 2013.
The reason being Polaris used a Dual-Range plug on the 2012.

Does this not ring true with the Iridium plug mentioned above?

AK49r... your dealer gave you some inaccurate information.

The 12's came stock with an NGK GR9A-EG plug...but still able to use on ANY Polaris with a BPR9-ES or RN57YCC which is more foul resistant than the BPR9-ES ... A bit pricier and they found that it was not needed on the sleds.

In terms of fouling:

Good BPR9-ES (Not to be confused with BR9-ES)
Better GR9A-EG (or Champion RN57YCC) ---copper core plugs
Best BPR9-EIX (not to be confused with BR9-EIX)

I use the BPR9-EIX in my '12 (with the Northstar kit) and they run great. I also have them in the stock '11. I add oil to my gas and run these because they are more resistant to fouling - have not had a plug foul in two years.

I run BR9ES in my 11. Runs fine.
Is this Ok to run.

Yep - no problem running that plug. Do you add oil to your gas? Oiler turned up? The Iridium's just don't foul very easy, so I use them as I add 1oz of oil per gallon and have the oiler turned up.

The problem with the BR9-ES is that it is not a projected tip...that can make a difference... The egineers picked this one for a reason... and the price is the same.

It will not ignite the mixure in the same way under certain conditions.

The cost is the same... buy the correct plug IMO.

Included the Iridium... use the BPR9-EIX and not the BR9-EIX.

would the BPR9-EIX work in my 2010 Assault 800? I would assume so, but you know what happens when you do...

looking to switch as soon as i use up my cache of champions.

Would the BPR9-EIX be OK in a 2008 700 RMK? I have run Champions since 2000 because the NGKs always fouled, maybe I was using BR9-ES non protruded tip. Champions are getting hard to find.

BR9-eix is actually a better plug to run in high boost turbo applications, but as was stated, it is better to use the projected tip in most all motors. Just a fyi.:face-icon-small-coo
