Next sled up from a Z120

buy somthing like a cheap summit 550 fan and if your worried abotu speed gear it down or clutch it accordingly. why not buy them somthing they will grow into somwhat. i saw some small kids rockin stcok phazer's (07) and they were doin pretty good just the weight did throw them around a bit and others on the freestyle's. look around and find a good deal.

I had an 02 z440 (Yup, a 2002. I was away from the sport for many years!)

top speed was 86 bone stock. Speeddemon would know the top speed of a 370.

What do you want to spend? We sold the 440 for $2400 exactly a year ago (asking was $2600) and it had 738 miles on it and was in excellent shape. I dont know what years are better than others though, i would say dont go with anything older than 2001, IMO! :)

I would prefer to spend under $2000. BUT I said a $1000 for a z120 (when I was looking for one) and ended up paying $1400 for a brand new one.

Yep my biggest concern is a roll over (especially if she takes off and I am not around) or running into a tree / rock so that is why I want to limit the top end speed.

Mid 80's Bravo 250 is by far the best kids sled ever. My Dad bought one when I was learning. All of my brothers and sister rode it and now my 5 year old rides it. It must have 20,000 miles one it and I think we have changed the belt once. They just go and go. They are so light a kid can ride it instead of it riding the kid.

I walked out into the garage last week and it started on the 2nd pull after sitting for the last 4 months. Great sled

What does a Bravo 250 sell for? Was thinking of a newer model but need to see what one can get for the money.

its not what they ride it is that they are ridding and having fun doing it !!
mike:D

Yep I can agree with this . Kids complain about the cold and how slow the
z120 is compared to a bigger sled.

Then they ride the sled without stopping until it runs out of gas and argue with their siblings about who gets to ride it after Dad fills it up again.

So here is what I have so far:

So far I have been quoted
2005 polaris 340xc for $2500 650miles away
2006 Freestyle 300 for $2500 700miles away
2000 Cat z370 for $1500 >1000 miles away
Polaris 440 Year??? for $1000 not know distance.
1994 Yamaha Venture 500 GT for $500 40 miles away

I found a local guy (Los Angeles) with some Phasers for $900 but no other information.

Since I live in Los Angeles the local deals are few and in between.

Some sleds will have to be shipped since thaey are over a 1000 miles away. Tack on $500 more for delivery plus I am nervous about buying unseen.

I found a local 1994 Yamaha Venture 500 GT with less than 500 miles for $500. Owner garages it near my home and takes it once a year in February along with an ATV to access his cabin at 8000 feet. Pictures show it immaculate since he is the original owner says he is conservative rider at age 60.

Do you think a 1994 Yamaha 500 GT is too much?

Also found two (2)Yamaha Ovation locally and wants $1200 for both. Don't know condition or details.

What do you think about the choices mentioned above?
