Couple different options for you, go with smaller drivers (7 tooth) or extend your chaincase (avid-products) Drop and roll kits are avail if your good with fabricating. This will allow you to go with the 8 tooth drivers. Quickest and most simple way would be to buy new smaller drivers (7 tooth) You will also need rail extensions or buy a new skid.

I will be running the 2.5" Challenger Xtreme 156 or 162 when I'm all finished up here with my complete overhaul. Anything out their is better than the Original 2" track on it, If you can find a dragon takeoff for cheap she might like that. Your options are pretty much endless here, you can run all the way up to a 174" x 3" if you go with the Avid extended chaincase. IMO the best track for this sled is the Challenger Extreme but some guys run the finger track and like them as well. All depends on how much $$$ you want to put into it.

I am assuming that you have a Series IV 151 x 2" trench digger. The best bang for your buck in my opinion, is a camoplast challenger 151 x 2. It is about 50% to 75% more efficient than the polaris trench digger. Better get one of those whiplash collars while you are at it, because when you hit the throttle, it will snap your head back dangerously. The camoplast has 3 rows of 4 1/2" wide lugs. The Series IV has 6 rows of 2 1/2" wide lugs. Track efficiency is based on the square of the lug width. 4.5 squared is 20..25 2.5 squared is 6.25 For 4 lug rows, Camoplast efficiency is 6 lugs total x 20.25 = 121.5 For 4 lug rows Series IV is 12 lugs total x 6.25 = 75. So the camoplast is 62% more efficient. Which is a night and day difference. And the best part is that you don't have to mess with your sled.

Im runnin a 16x156x2.5 camo extreme on 02 edge, track is absolutely awesome but must roll chaincase but worth it if you got the $. Lots of guys are swearin by the powerclaws but i have yet to experience them but ive seen alot of custom sleds running powerclaws so they must work and id assume a powerclaw is by far less $ than a camo extreme

You can't run the new polaris tracks like the 155 2.4 etc because they have a different pitch 2.86 I believe vs your edge that has 2.52. I have used all the tracks they make including the old attack 20. I think your best bet for all around good track is going to be the Camo 156 2.52p 2" lugs. All you would have to do is get a big wheel kit with axle to take up the extra 2.5 inch track length. I had the stock polaris track on my wife's edge and I agree with "whoisthatguy" they are not good tracks (if they were polaris would still be using them). Absolute best IMO is the camo with 2.5 lugs like I use but then you have to get different drivers (smaller 7t & 3"pitch) and set back skid, trim rails etc...is it worth it? yes without a doubt but it's quite a bit of work. Here is a picture of my wife's that I just got done with the Camo 156.

Keep it simple. Do the PC in a 153 with 7 tooth drivers and stock gearing.
You will not need longer rails. You will have to cut back the rail tips (no biggie) and you can move the slid back an inch if you dont do a big wheel kit.

Good thread!
I have a 02 800 156" w/big wheels and track very tight can hardly get wheels on with track as loose as possible, is there a camo 159 option or have to go 163". Im going to get the Part # off mine and post it just to make sure what is in there.
