Planning new years at the cabin in Plain (chiwawa loop rd) Who else is gonna be over there. Thought it would be a great time to ride/party (weather permitting) with new friends:beer;

my old boss has a cabin over there i spent alot of time over there at the holidays one year we where over there and they had a big fire works display and some how all the fire works went off it was like being in iraq great times and great people over there

jer

We'll be there, loop road too. No official plans yet, our party hours are dictated by the new addition, probably a good thing:D Just hoping for some snow by then?

yep - we'll probably be over there too. Chiwawa Pines for me though. Fresh off my Revy trip! :D

I'll be there (Chiwawa River Pines) too the week between Christmas and New Years. Better get the snow dances going or we'll be cabin hoping in the pickup instead of sleds. :(:beer;

Hey,

What's the 411 on sledding in the LK Wenatchee area? I'm thinking of renting a place in early Feb but have never ridden the area.

Can you basically sled from your cabin to the groomed trails? Or are there only certain places you can do that? Can anyone recommend a rental place or Co. for me to look into?

Thanks,

kord

Sucks wouldn't waste your time... lk chelan or cle elum is better:D

There are a lot of groomed trails over there but really very limited mountain riding. If they get a huge dump of snow there are a few areas where it can be good boondocking off trail but it takes a while to get to them and if you are willing to ride a road for a half hour to get to them then you might as well and drive to blewett (which IMO is pretty weak too) unless you go to Navajo.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Thanks for the advice.

I kid I kid(insult the comic dog impersonation)

But its not far from the truth... i mean the snow comes late and little amounts at that. If i didnt already have a cabin there i would probably be in cle elum or chelan. Depending on the snow fall you CAN typically ride from your door. some roads(major ones) are marked no snowmobiles. And on a side note, and this probably DOES NOT describe you but, seasonal renters tend to dis-respect the area. They tend to have the "i dont live here so who cares" attitude which results in alot of frustrated locals. So dont take it personal if im not painting a beautiful picture of the place where i R&R:beer;:)

Not enough snow, too many sleds, grooming is terrible, no place to ride off the trail, everyone there is rude, ..........hmmm have I left anything else out.......:confused:

Chiwawa Loop (kinickinick)

I'll be there the weekend after christmas through the 2nd. I have a mountain cat i am almost finished putting together, i'll be riding everyday!
