New Woodsrider kit for PRO's with can

Looks great! I love the original version for the stock can. Looks like the exhaust springs are totally covered on this one, do you have to undo a pipe clamp each time you want to remove the pipe/can? Not really hard to do, but might be a tad annoying.

Yes you would have to do that but not to bad after the hose clamp is cut to a shorter length. I like to use a battery power 1/4" impact with a short extension and socket just be careful can wreck the clamp.

How much different is this then the original one?
I have a brand new still in the box it came in original one, that I ordered and could not use because I have a aftermarket can on.
Do you think that I could modify the original to fit like this new one?

Or if someone is looking for an original setup I would sell it and get this one.
P.M me if interested
p.s I'm in alberta Canada.

I recently put a full SLP system on my '14 Pro and was able to get the original kit installed on it. Now, just need to get out for a ride to see if it'll heat up my Hot Pockets. :face-icon-small-hap

New kit is totally different heat shield is 4 sided and the mount block is 1/2" lower. I know that the original kit has been used on a can set up and it did work OK but I think it would heat a little slower.

Looking at SLP pipe and can I think original kit would be the way to go as the pipe enters the side of can. This new kit is made to fit cans were pipe enters from the top of can via elbow.

That's my sled pictured. I have gotten multiple chances to test it out and it works fantastic! I was going to try compare it to the original one with a stock can, but we always put food in as we leave the truck and both this one and the original on on the stocker were good and hot. I have since swapped out my can twice (just to stock and back for trail rides/hunting) and its really not difficult at all. Like Woodsrider stated, battery drill makes it easy, losten it up just a wee bit and then you can get a spring puller in there. It takes about 30 seconds more than swapping the can without a muff pot. I'm a fat kid at heart (ok maybe more than just at heart) but a warm meal mid ride really makes a good day better, and can be the greatest thing in the world when all goes to sh!t in the backcountry.

Almost looks like the new can kit would fit in there. Anyone in Anchorage area have a SLP pipe can that we could check fit?

I did this mod on my own a year ago. I have 2 12 pros with hps cans and all I can say is you need to ride hard for a good 45 min to an hour before you want lunch to have anything more than a medium warm lunch. It does work better, but it takes some hard riding to get there. I built mine with only a 1/4" spacer between cooker and pipe/can to level it. I have boiled the cheese out of a hot pocket, but stop for 15 min and it takes 45 to heat it back up. Not trying to bash just stating my own experience over the last year. Sorry Woodsrider you are about a year late on this one for me.

Bob was kind enough to get me a kit 3 or so weeks ago. While I have a more in depth variety of pics and info, the down and dirty is that the new Canned Pro kit rocks. Snow pack has literally gone to **** with our 40-55* weather so Ive only got 1 awesome day of riding in with it. Using the large MuffPot, 3 hot pockets were ready in 2 hours @ 0* temps.

To note, mocking up the pot base and riser block then marking it's location and putting 2 rivets through the base into the block makes for a very rigid setup. So far so good.
