NEW TUNNEL CONCEPT FOR THE 2007 -2010 RMK'S w/pics... WHAT DO YOU THINK?

RacerJb... sounds good... I'll get those measurements to you after the weekend.

The spindles look great.... Hope to see the whole front end hit the snow this year.
Any word on the front suspension from this post?

what do you not like about these boards ?

I never said i didnt like the boards, i think its a great concept, i want to install better boards or snow elimonators but im a bigger guy and i dont know if i would bend those, this concept that mtnhorse has up i think would work alot better for me.

MH,

I'm also interested in this tunnel concept. Great job on the design.

I definetly want to see some aggressive testing with it as far as durability.

Is the wide running board kit going to be included in the overall kit or seperate?

Big guys don't effect the Better Boards a bit. A few of the guysI ride with are at 260 to 290 and have no problems, put more rivets in, they are one if the best add ons you can install

I sent him one email already. I dont want to bug him too much:D
I do want this concept to turn into reality!

07's????

MountainHorse...

I will be e-mailing Mike...

Would this "kit" be something adaptable to my 07 Switch 600? I absolutely love this sled and I have been making a lot of mods to keep it up to date... One thing that I cannot understand is why POLARIS designed this sled with solid, narrow running boards that have cooling strips running up the edges?

As a lot of you already know... These boards are horrible when you get off of the trail and into the steep and deep. There is absolutely NO clean-out and my HMK boots were literally too wide so I had to sell em n switch to some KLIM boots(which I love). I love the look and functionality of the VE Boondocker Tunnels and would definately be interested in this type of set-up.

Couple questions...

Would these boards have cooling strips on the edges to route the coolant back to the end of the tunnel and into my rear heat exchange? or would I have to switch to an RMK set-up to rock these boards?

Also, how is the RMK's coolant routed, and what type of heat exchange is run on these sleds?

Not trying to steal this thread but I think that a lot of other people with a Switchback would be interested in this set-up and these are just some issues I see with installation on these sleds...

THANKS,
MAXX

Unfortunately, the cooling layout on the 07 switch is not adaptable to this design.... It has the same layout as the 900 RMK's...

Anything is possible... but at that point, you are better off going to a full tunnel...IMO

I spoke with VE yesterday...

The Prototype sides are on the cutting table today...

They have decided to build at least the first one.... and with all this interest, I'm sure that they will roll into production here soon.

I'll keep you all posted on the progress and post up some pix as soon as they are available...

Price too.
