New truck ECM's locked??

Sounds like we could be looking at more control, now in the automotive industry. Seems the manufacturers are going to start locking their ECM's so we can't use programmers or anything to "improve" upon their $hit. It's okay for us to go out and spend 40-50 grand on a new truck, but it's not 100% ours to do with what we want.

This has nothing to do with warranty and everything to do with the EPA being a bunch of nazis.

I'm sure manufacturers don't enjoy producing crappy performing, inefficient engines but the EPA wouldn't have it any other way.
