new track

I'm looking at putting the Polaris Series IV track on my 01 800 summit. 144 Currently. Does anyone know will the 2 1/8 track clear through my tunnel. 2" Currently on it. Also, will I have to gear down by adding that much track. How do I go about doing this.
THanks for any input.

You won't need to re-gear going 144 to 144. If you'r going to a 151, the 800 will still pull it fine. I don't think they changed factory gearing from 144 to 151 on those sleds.
Clearance wise, I haven't been under one of those sleds in a while, but you're only talking 1/8" taller. Check the current track clearance up in front of the drive sprockets. 1/4" min clearance (for your new track) is preferrable, but I ran a ZR with 1/8" or less clearance up front for several years with no issue.
