new to yamaha

i just switched over for ski doo this year 2010, i ordered the new nytro 162, and i got a impulse on the way as well. Im just wondering what to watch out for as far as common problems. i was also wondering what happens when u roll these machines does the oil run out of motor if left upside down to long? i spend alot of time chasing my sleds down the hills just wondering if ill have to pack oil with me?

When you roll these sleds the computer will shut the engine down when it senses oil pressure loss (code 30) will flash. As far as oil goes you can loose a bit and your sled may smoke a bit for a few seconds when you get going, but not often. As far as some things to watch for, make sure your chain is tight, hose claps tight, no boost leaks,a/fs are not to high or to low.All pritty simple things.

The only problem you'll have is wishing you had more gas because their sooooo much fun. I have an MCX turbo on mine and it comes with a tank to collect any oil if the sled rolls over. Would consider a kill switch just in case. You are going to LOOOOOOVE your impulse. These sleds with boost absolutley ROCK. You will not be able to wipe the grin off your face the first time you hit that flipper.

The low oil light will come on if you are stuck on your side and the oil runs away from your dipstick (there is an oil level sensor on it), but usually goes away after a couple minutes of being upright, if it didnt i always carried an extra quart of oil with me and would top it off
