New to Polaris PRO RMK

I'm coming off a Skidoo REV Summit X(many years of Skidoos), and the 2011 Polaris Pro RMK is a BIG change. It's a whole new riding style for me.

I need help with the suspension. Since it doesn't have a wishbone, how is sag set?

I've backed WAY off on the front springs to get it to lean and turn. That helped, but I'm pretty sure I've got the back end all cocked up; notwithstanding the helpful (!!??) chart for the RTSS spring.

I have the ski stance in the center position. I ride in the west (mountains, trees, etc.)

Any help for a first time Polaris rider?

Thanks.

Mick

reducing the RTSS-- rear track spring preload will make a HUGE difference in how the sled weight transfers. With the transfer towards the rear it makes the front feel super light and easy to make direction changes.

Start by reducing the spring preload on the RTSS and go from there-- I have mine set soft so that when I'm on the trail I have to take it easy on big whoops so I don't bottom it out. When off trail, in pow and trees, it's perfect.

Thanks. I've backed way off on the front...and back.

Will ride tomorrow and spend time tweaking this and that.

We're heading to Little Truckee Summit. I see you're just up the road . . .

Just got back from LTS, in the shadows of Lola. Super deep up top.

Don't soften up the front `track shock too much, the skid needs to "pivot" off the front track shock.

Trying to postpone the trip to Idaho by one day so we can ride LTS tomorrow again....

Curb Pros //2011 RMK Suspension Issues

Newbie to riding, but bought this PRO, and like it but it seems really stiff. You guys sugested to loosen up the rear shock and that should help to lean easier correct? If so which shock is it? and how far would I loosen it up?
Thanks Dale

Mine felt stiff first ride..... but I left the suspension settings and it softened up in the next few rides.

do this

:face-icon-small-win:face-icon-small-winunless you are over 200 lbs adjust the rear track shock so that it measures 10.25 inches when the track is suspended off the ground. then adjust the front track shock so 13 threads show at the bottom..about one inch of threads. you'll love it. front ski shocks who knows. mine are about mid way and seem fine.

i'm rather fat so i put my rear spring tight as the settings recommend then one inch in the front track spring according to most posters on here, and skis i measured one and make the other one match, have no idea where they are set.
