New Team secondary with parallel opening sheaves

Looks like a variation of the Paragon idea to me too.

Paragon's work stupidly well when they are being tuned by someone who knows how to work with one. I rode a sled that ran almost no spring pressure in the primary, Paragon on the secondary and had absolutly flawless upshift, instant backshift and ran the belt at no more than 90 degrees as hard as you could flog the sled.

Great idea but the Paragon is not without some issues that you have to work with. I guess we will see how well Team has done their homework.

They have been making this clutch to a couple years for ATV's. Comes stock on the Razor S UTV

I personally have worked with the clutch and its a great improvement from the older tss-04 clutches. Here are some information right from Team.

TEAM Industries introduces the most advanced driven clutch in the snowmobile industry. The TEAM Tied Driven Clutch is an improvement from the TSS-04, in that the moveable sheave opens axially to the stationary sheave without rotational movement. This translates to no scrubbing motion on the belt face producing less heat and friction.

Additionally all torque is transmitted through the helix, making clutch tuning much more precise. This clutch was developed using the extensive testing and design resources of TEAM Industries, Inc.

Drivin

Features:

• Instant Backshift

• Cooler Running

• Increased Belt Life

• No Engine Reverse Clunk

• Unrivaled Torque Sensing

• Helix Angles Typically 14° Higher Than TSS-04

• Greater Efficiency Allows Lower Spring Rates

• Higher Top End

• Eight Years of Development & Testing

Capacity:

• 350+ Horsepower

Applications:

• Snowmobiles - Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo, Yamaha
Also to mention, Iam a dealer for Team if anyone wants to upgrade to the new clutch or needs parts. We are heading to the asphalt tomorrow to do some testing with a 1200 turbo and the new Tied Secondary clutch.

yeah sound good
I have a paragon and it well for me for the most part

what does the name Tied mean ?

Anymore info and pics on this? How does it work? How does it use the helix now that none of the sheaves twist?

Helix rotates on a bearing I believe. Should work good, has been in use for a while now, just not on too many sleds.

I spoke with some of the guys at SLP about this cluch just the outher day threr should be a lot of info on setups avable for most stock and SLP piped sleds out very soon .

paragon

take a look under the hood of some of the top ac snow cross sleds and you will see where the paragon went. The team clutch will be great but it is old school the paragon was and is the clutch and it works great hopefully they bought the rights not stold the idea.

Problem with the paragon is that you have to send it to them every spring in hopes of having it rebuilt/repaired in time for the following winter. Works well when it works though.

Hopefully TEAM can make a reliable version.

Yeah and the paragon is a copy of a International harvestor combine blower clutch

If anyone has questions about what setup to run with the new Tied Clutch, please ask, I have the conversion table to convert from your old setup, and recommendations for better clutching.

I bought 2 team tied clutches from justin at silbur turbos and got an awesome deal. if you need a clutch or a turbo look him up

To clarify a few things about the new TEAM Tied Driven:

-The reliability of the clutch will be on par with the TSS-04. It uses the same bushings and heavier duty rollers.

-We did not steal any technology, the design is per our patent number 6743129. The design has been used on ATV's for a couple years.

We will be posting a calculator online to convert current TSS-04 setups to the tied clutch soon.
