New stock phaser or used turbo phaser

Was going to purchase new '08 phaser mtx for wife, but found '07 phaser lite with mcx turbo with 1000km. After recent motor issues with my Mcx Nytro, not sure if the modded phaser is a smart choice. Any suggestions

My buddy went to MMIT in phenix and worked with them alot he said if you were to turbo it you should get rid of it in a year or 2 because the crank is week and wont hold the power for very long, but if you leave them stock or lightly modded they will last for ever

Cant say about a mtx with a hairdryer, we have a 08. After working out a few kinks and dooing some minor clutching its a good sled for its size. So what has your wife been riding, mine rides a 06 800 Rev, she doesn't like the phazer so much, she likes power...her summer car is a 71 Nova with a 383 stroker... kinda hard for some to go to less power. The Phazer, even with the sway bar on and skis set as far out as possible is somewhat tipsy???so she says. Our daughter rides it and has a blast with it, wont trade sleds to often. I would go with a new sled I guess....I mean is she really gonna use or need the turbo that much? Dino

She was riding a'07 XRS 800. We put alot of miles on in a season, 3000+km in the hills, and I always seem to be rebuilding an engine from wear and tear and the sport is costly enough. Thought by going 4 stroke I would be rebuilding chassis not the engine, and alot longer time period with out jepardizing reliability. (not so with my nytro as I have the pull the motor to fix a dropped valve issue.
She doesn't really need the power of the turbo, but I thought I would have a backup ride as well. She is not fond of the phaser yet, but she needs electric start. If they are not a bullet proof engine with boost, new will probably be what we do.
Thanks for the opinions

I have one but only have 600 miles with boost. I haven't heard of any failures yet, but anything will break if pushed hard enough. I'm running 16 lbs this year, 12 last year. How much for the boosted sled? I see some asking a few g's too much for the Tazers. Good luck
