New Snow Tanuem Manastash?

Started toward it Thursday morning, big saw big bare patches as we passed Easton, so we decided not to chance it and turned around and went to Gold Creek instead. It was awesome, had to dig out a few times but was well worth it. Not many sleds up there that day either.

Yes - Took the Princess out for a ride Friday. Tamarack is just far enough east to not have gotten much of the recent new snow; come back west just a few miles and different story......Plenty of good coverage in all areas around there except: Shadow Creek Rd and the Paved portion of the 33 from the 3330 out to the Taneum campground....Lots of bare patches in both.....

I rode from Taneum Wed and Thurs. Road is getting sketchy from parkinglot. Snow is great above with alot on Quarts. I rode out Manashtash on Fri. You have to drive a long way in and no real good place to turn around but if you can get to the snow (small two place or sled deck) its worth it!

Sunday

I expected more new snow today. It was socked in most of Saturday and rained in Ellensburg, but there was only a few inches of windblown fresh up high. It drifted in a bit on some of the leeward slopes. Good conditions for touring.

Good ride today with Blindman and Newtrout Sr. (aka the 'Old Grouper'). Put together a nice loop that ended with at least a mile of gravel to get back to the truck at Barber Springs. Access is going to start getting tricky here shortly....
