new seat

anyone thinking about puttin a new seat on your ride this year??

i just had a chance to check out a new seat by a new company last week. it is actually another 1 1/2" taller, but about a 1" wider than the BRP race seat. felt to be even stiffer foam?? tuff to get a really good feel for it sittin in my garage but i will definately be throwing one of these on for a day come this winter, and give it a full day try-out on the hill. it also attaches by means of OEM hooks. has a water-proof membrane over the foam to eliminate water soak weight. sweet cover and finish. about 1/2 the price of a boss.

i think ron (sledhead ut) ran one of these on his dragon last year, so if he wants to chime in, he could give a much better, objective opinion on them.

Yep, I got to enjoy my last couple rides on their seat. Mine is a plus 2 seat. Couldn't believe the difference it made, especially cruising down some of those nasty bumpy roads. I'm always excited to see a Utah based sled company and I know Marc and Doug are stand up guys.

Actually Chad, after riding with you I just figured I better upgrade to more comfort cuz I new I'd end up spending the night on it. Got Flares

Joking aside, there was a noticeable difference while standing. The side panels had more grip than stock.

Went down last Friday and did a custom measure, the new seat will be 2+" taller and will have a fitted back rest built into it. We are goin to put velcroe on it and a harness that I will wear with the other half of the velcroe on it so I can come off when needed but stay on when needed. The plan is to have it done and take it to Brewvies and the Sno Show to display.

I am stoked it is going to be very sweet.

Yes we should have it for Brewvies. Attached is a picture of the hard model that is built out of wood and Bondo. If you have an imagination picture it with a laser cut rear seat post out of aluminum that will be similar to the stock Dragon look. The web site will be updated as soon as we have pics.

Nice thought Ron ... we'll have to look into that as a future option. For now we are planning an optional storage bag for all of your swag, tools and avalanche gear.
