New Pro 800 Motor, Convert to Pre-Mix?

Anyone converted/ing their new Pro 800 to pre-mix? Curious if the motor will be ok doing this, or if the injection is required for proper lubrication. If you are losing the injection, what are you using to do it? (siphon bottle to the oil pump, etc). If it cannot be safely done, why. I have not had a chance to look over the motor myself, and am curious.

Why? With the issues we already faced with air/fuel mixture, why do it? I used to add a little bit of oil in my tank to lube the lower case, but going pre-mix seems like an unessary evil.

Loss of weight, confidence of knowing exact oil/fuel mixture, removing the reliance of a mechanical part to keep motor lubricated, are the main reasons I prefer pre-mix. What issues are you speaking of specifically, with the air fuel mix?

You are aware that that would completely void the warranty?

If you are boosted, make sure the kit maker is setup for this... If not turbo... IMO... dont do it... unless you change out to the greased, sealed crankshaft bearings from an IQR.

oiling

DON"T do it the crank wont last a day
the injectors spray into the boost port
the bottom end will get no oil

let technology work for you - use good oil and inject it
premix just makes smoke and over oils at all levels except WOT- other than that you are just wasting oil and spark plugs

That was what I was concerned about with the motor now being a 2 injector set up. I have to say I disagree with the Overoiling and smoke portion though. No disrespect, I have just always had better luck running premix than relying on the oil pump and the cable that runs it to stay consistent. Burned up a 700 CFI just last season, due to oil pump failure.

The Pro has a linkage from the Throttlebody to the oil pump arm so there is a much less risk of failure and anomolies that come with a cable.

Bearings won't be happy

The oil pump feeds directly to the main bearings on both ends of the crankshaft. Take away the pump and those bearings will have to live with whatever oil gets from the injector in the boost port way out to the outboard end of the crankshaft. Pack a tow rope!

I see oil lines that run to the lower case, however, how does each cyl pick up lubrication? Is there 2 separate oil lines for this? I see the injector rail in the cyl, where does the oil blend for the upper half?
