Welcome to Oregon! Going to BMCC? Tollgate is probably you best and closest bet. I know there are alot of people on here that ride there and can give you a better idea than i can. if you dont mind driving then there are alot of really good places to ride out of Union, Cove and a little farther is Halfway.

Welcome to Oregon.
Tollgate is the closest for sure with 4 sno-parks; morning creek the most used, and heavily poplauted.
Then of course you have Union (Catherine Creek), Anthony Lakes, Joseph (Salt Creek), Sumpter/Granite, and my fav Halfway if you don't mind driving, but once there you'll want to stay for the weekend.

I'm not a member for there is a club up there at Tollgate that has something planned every weekend, so you would for sure meet some kind of riders, but then you could hook up with someone at the sno-parks.

Just one thing; December 1st is opening riding season here at Tollgate.

if you want some good riding then tollgate is defently a good spot a little of everything we are up almost every weekind and yes the club has some good rides posted if you got facebook you can see them at (tollgate trail finders) the bluewood ride is a blast and the poker run is a must hit. Let me know if you need some one to show you around up there?

HOGWASH! There is plenlty of old sleds running around still, even saw some this weekend in Halfway, nothing wrong with that! Besides there is plenlty of trail riding for you and the family to enjoy at Tollgate, and there is two warming shelters that you could ride too. Also is Ukiah area, turn right at the old red market and go to the end of the road (snow) and off you go. We did that run with the kids, rode all the way to Granite; lunch, refuel and head back.
