New Nun for 04 rev summit 800

Well, ive been driving my sled for 2 year's now and i got my grandfather to ride it once and guess what he said after he did a side hill. IT WONT TURN LEFT!!!! lol i really dident know this untill he told me lol, I have noticed though that my spring cover has been torn up a bit from rubbing the A arm not sure if a Nun will fix this problem but the old man thinks it will. Do you guy's think there's somthing else bent on my sled, I just picked up the nun today and i never even seen one it look's like a skid plate but aluminum, I hope nothing else is bent i don't have much more fund's to spend with the hoilday's coming up. Help would be great and thank you,

PS. have one of you guy's ever installed these on a Rev chassie? is it a long process? thank's Jonny:D

It takes about 4-6 hours to do. I have done one and I would recommend purchasing a pneumatic rivet gun. There are 3 steel rivets on the exhaust side that will give you some quality time with a grinder. Otherwise it is easy to do. :face-icon-small-coo

Buy all the mxz racing supports when you do it, you need to be able to solid rivet it back together and it will take a full weekend with a buddy!!!

it does take 4 to 6 hours i would also get mxz stiffener, if the exahust side has a bow in it ,i have done alot .check the front plate just infront of the engine if it is bent in you have another $. also your arms could be bent if they are they will not fit into the new nun . hopfully its not to bad . good luck:)

Take the engine out!?! your nut's my grandfather said it would take him 3 hours maybe 2 and a half one of the best handymen i know. and no i dont need a mxz part's just a new nun. i hope my A arm's arnt bent they shouldent one side is working well and the other look's the same just i think out of place. we will work on it on Sat, wish me luck!!! lol

yeah he's got like 100 grand worth of Snap on tool's not the rivit gun but hes getting one from one of his blaskin and lane shop's hes part owner lol... thank's for the help guy's if you need to post more about this let me know!! thank's alot:D

My inner baulk head was bent, along with my engine mount that goes between the nun and the baulk head ,had to pull engine to fixit , if you put in the stiffners it will take alot more impack, and it does not take much to bend one ,after spending 125.00 whats another 50.00????????

Canadain fund's it was $300.00 do you think i could buy stiffner's from the my dealer? in canadain fund's i don't think it would be $50.00 more like $100.00 dont have that right now. i might install later. got to save up for our new year's trip going for a week, i don't ride very hard anyway's the odd time but not near as much. might consider it though! thank's a mill bud:D

I replaced my nun on my 04. I think 4-6hrs is realistic if you do this kind of work regularly, have all the parts ready, have air chisel & rivet gun, and have no surprises along the way. I will not admit publicly how long it took me LOL.

Have a close look at the plate right in front of the motor. Everything from the plate forward has to come apart. Suggest having a good supply of 3/16 drill bits for the rivets.

If you plan on keeping this sled. Just buy a nun from a 2007 MXZX 440. Go to Jaycox powersporst and buy it online. $285 I think it was. It comes with all of the braces already put on. The only ones it will not come with it the side supports. Those are optional.

I would recommend putting it back together with stainless steel bolt with stainless steel nylock nuts. As most likley if you keep this sled it will happen again. Then in stead of 4 hour job it is more like an hour job if you have air tools.

And no you do not need to pull your motor, but check your front plate that the nun attaches to as the welds for the a-arm bolts might have busted from the bend in the nun
