New movie!

This past Fall I bought a new camcorder and thought I'd put together a movie of this years rides. I've been playing around and learning the editing software and have put together the first chapter of my project. It starts out slow (action wise) but remember it's the first chapter to a larger project too.

Let me know what you think and if you have any pointers. I think I'm going to lower the music level so you can hear the sleds a bit better. Click on 1080P if your computer can handle it.

Chapter 1

looks great Kyle

Really cool Kyle. I know you have more footage than that!!:face-icon-small-win

Editing Rec's: you're right about the music. About 2-3 db too loud. Great tracks though and great intro!! Intro is a bit too long as well. Love the footage. Especially that guy with the yellow shovel on his back!!! :face-icon-small-coo:face-icon-small-win

Great vid. Some good powder. Now all you need is some sunshine! Some mad skills being demonstrated there. Except the guy with the yellow shovel on his back looked kind of gay.....JK.....Figured that is sweetxpbeatch from his comment above and just had to throw out some friendly smack talk. Definitely take the cam tomorrow.....it's gonna be good!

That's funny, never met you, but I can't wait!!:face-icon-small-win

Great vid!

Use a tripod on your long shots in the beginning. Pick you music to the type of riding that is going on in the clips slower riding use a slower track faster harder riding use a harder track. It’s all about timing. Put the music in then pick the clips that will flow with the musics beat. Add like a big jump with the music’s down beat or slow it down with slow-motion with a track that moves right with it. If you can make the music flow with the film you can keep an audience captive. I always watch my clips then decide the track then put it all together.

Hey, all is fair in funniness.:boink: We ought to ride sometime or maybe do some bow hunting this year. I think this is my year to draw an archery elk tag! Anyways just poking a little fun. Glad to see you can take it. BTW, those ARE some mad riding skills.:thumb:

Glad to see I bring out the BEST!! hahaha. So, you have some mad bow hunting, numb-chuck, computer hacking skills?? Right on Napolean!!
Seriously though, I was thinking of getting a bow shoot for fellow SW's that have interest. thoughts?

I'd be interested in a bow shoot. If I draw that tag I'll be practicing a ton this summer. I say make it happen.

We need to put "snow-goose" on this project

AKA: Justdooit, jedi, wwjd. He is a stud at coordinating these things. Plus, I have him hooked on shooting now. There are 8 shooters in my immediate group. Corrine's course is already set up. We could do a $1 per target!!

AKA: justpooingit. Hahaha. Just let me know the time and place. I would prefer warmer/drier weather though. I would also need some advance time to get my bow dialed in. My friends bow broke last summer before his Book Cliffs elk hunt and he didn't have the funds to buy a new bow so I let him use mine. So I need some time to re sight it for me, my anchor point and my arrows.

Note to self: never share your bow, girlfriends

That's as bad as sharing your girlfriends. I have done a few long distance hunts and always buy a spare bow for that very reason... Archerytalk.com has some incredible deals in their classifieds section.

Yeah, he is one of my very best friends and was in real estate owning his own brokerage when the economy tanked. He went from make $100k+ a year to losing his cars and being behind on his mortgage. Overall he was just struggling to get by. He was shocked that he even drew the tag that year. With it being pretty much a once every 20+ years to get a tag like that I wanted to make sure he got that experience. Not to mention he took very good care of it. Now I just have to re-tune for me.

Great video! I think the sled to music volume was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. Awesome job, love it.
