New MH kit?

15 Lbs ? If thats truely the case i will be sticking to a std kit. Having it in Ti wont be worth the extra cost imo. I can't imagine there being a noticeable difference in performance for 15lbs. Sure looks pretty though !

Yes, the Ti only frame weighs 110lbs. And that is an LT, not an ST. The rubber is a fixed weight. Remember that is "15LBS". When a sled looses 3lbs it's huge. 15LBS on an already small/lite chassis is huge. The result on the snow is amazing. When Carbon Fiber and Belt Drive are added in, it's approx. 60% liter. Lots of very fun testing and development with performance and reliability as the goal.

The performance difference is a whole new level. You need to see it against STD Kits. wow. Not even in the same category.

Then there must be a bigger weight difference than 15lbs ??? Is your kit the belt drive system ?

No. It is the full TI skid now. The belt drive and Carbon are coming for testing. A few adjustments are being made. Just the Ti frame is amazing. The difference is a whole new level. I can't imagine when the rest is installed..... We will do some head to head testing and video's. It is pretty awesome.

Does this mean were going to see more titanium products for there sled line?

Don't get me wrong, a titanium kit is cool, but I'm struggling with the fact that 15lbs lighter is taking it to a whole new level...

When full, the 3.3 gallon can on my tunnel weighs more than 20lbs, I honestly can't tell if it's full or empty when I'm riding.

Most of your posts are useful and informative, and I appreciate that. But this one just seems like nothing but a sales pitch. Wouldn't you agree that the added flotation and acceleration is from switching to the LT from a ST and not from the 15lbs weight loss?

Very nice assembly and use of Titanium. It is the same exact thing as the cromoly version though. I doubt we can call it a game changer in my opinion.

Big problem to this is that the cost of this kit will probably be twice the cost of a conventionnal one... for a 15 pound reduction.

I definitely go for the belt drive and Ti springs

For suspension components I would stay away from Ti.

Tried it on several occasions and had to much cracking going on.

They also looked like real works of art.

Titanium does not have the same flex characteristics like 3140 Crome molly and always gives grieve around the welded areas.

It looks cool and will be fine for guys that do not ride a lot or hard , but not for the hard core rider.

No Belt drive for next year's production sleds... but lots of R&D going on in Ponderay!!!
