New MC Xpress/ Yamaha 2012 Promotion.

Christopher, Ya I do care. Its my hard earned money and I think there's a huge gap in the pricing of building a new Yamaha. The Yamaha's and MCX are proven yes. Yamaha has clearly been the leader in 4stroke technology in recent years, I was hoping they would come out with a factory turbo with warranty. They didn't and Cat did. Now you still have to pay for instal, clutching, gauges, etc and that adds up when compared to the Cat which is set up out of the box.

Landon good on you guys and the other dealers for putting a promotion together. But I think Yamaha is going to lose a lot of customers cause of the price difference. I was wanting to build a new Nytro but not sure anymore when looking at the options of the new Cat.

I definitly think Cat took a huge step in the right direction with the 4 stroke turbo. It will defintily be a cheaper way to buy a boosted mountain sled. After riding with several lightweight Z1 turbos stretched to 162's and 174's and bumped up to 250-280 hp I do not feel they will perform the same as our in line boosted 3 and 4 cylinder machines. They work great and tractor like crazy but do noe build the same incredible ground speed that our machines do. You will pay a little more but you will not get beat by your buddy on his new Cat. How do you put a price on that :face-icon-small-hap

LOL good point Landon. Like I said Yamaha and MCX are proven. Guess we only have 8months to wait!!!!!

I was hoping they would come out with a factory turbo with warranty.

They tried.
Yamaha was very close to having a factory boosted sled, but appear to have run into issues with tailpipe emissions. My best info is that they were going Superchargered and not turbocharged though, and that might explain the emissions challenges.

There is a chance we will yet set that sled surface this next season though.

There is a lot of back-channel discussion going on about that sled and why it didn't make it to release. Some of it is pretty wild and might be far fetched, but given the current emissions control world we live in, it might all be true.

I never thought I would ever hear the phrase "Carbon Credits" and Snowmobiles in the same sentence.

Thanks to all the customers who have jumped on board already to make this promo a success. For the rest of you the program is winding down so place your deposit before the 18th to save yourself some hard earned $$ on a sweet package.

isnt yammi miles ahead of everybody in carbon creidits seems the should be able to give up a few to make it happen for the year.but of coarse yammi runs on there own plan no matter what they run the line to the end.
