KMOD : For a Good Ride

Indian-C-Ryan.jpg

KMOD Suspensions were originally inspired by the need for transfer performance from building high horsepower turbos.
KMOD Facts:

  • The only way to control transfer is with a coupling suspension.
  • If a suspension is uncoupled any increase in horsepower will result in front end lift.
  • New track technology and increased horsepower puts tremendous stress on stock suspension systems and the rider.
  • The result is trenching, ski lift, rider fatigue and overall control issues.
A KMOD Suspension = The Solution to Superior Ride Performance!

Nah.
He is just trying make sure the good guys over there get some exposure as well.

There is room enough for BOTH of these companies in our sport.

I have the new 2012 Timbersled. I hope its better than the light weight yammy skid... Cant wait to give it a try.

Anybody running the Kmod with big hp (300+)?? Wondering how it compares to the M10 style skids in the reall steep and deep??
I rode Sledfvr's Apex last year, a little bit, with a Kmod skid but his is setup pretty light in the front for his riding style so it wheelied a lot. But otherwise I have never seen one in action

Kmod says these are built super strong and thats great, but also how much do they weigh for the 162 set up (yamaha Nytro). Looking at buying a new suspension but I want a good balance of light weight, strength and performance.

Website looks great

thanks

Here's a link to the post that answers your question - note: that was with the 2011 version of the front arm/limiter straps - the 2012 front arm/limiter straps will be around 2 - 3 pounds lighter:

I really like the new site. The old site wasn't bad but it was a little hard to read the way it was laid out. New site looks great, has a lot of features but it still easy to read and navigate around. And the new features on the suspension are pretty cool too!

I think they will prob hold the front down close to the level of a M10 but give the rider a lot more flexibility. M10 for me is just too much for the non chute climbing days. I have had everything including two M10s and I will buy Kmod from here on out

I have the series 1 skids and Kevin changed the rails for the series 2. They mount two inches further forward to help remove ski pressure. I just ordered the series 2 rails and am putting them on now. It should give the front a lighter feel and keep the skis down.
