New HYFAX on the 2019 Models?

I thought it looked like they simply notched the tops of the outside edges likely to lighten them up. The profile would likely be the same and have the same contact area but not be solid down the sides from the half-way point up. But maybe that is just my observation.

I thought this too but Polaris is advertising that they are longer life??

I don't believe they changed the rail profile at all.

TO MY KNOWLEDGE, these SHOULD be interchangeable with other model years. If someone has knowledge to correct that, please let me know.

I talked with a guy the other day who has some kind of special hyfax on his Polaris Voyager (fan trail sled) and he said you could drive across bare ground for miles with it without a problem.

Dupont yamaha hyfax.
Iron dog racers run it.

The hyfax have notches that reduce weight but also, supposedly, hold snow and distribute it to the track/hyfax interface. I saw it today and that was the explanation given.
