new gas can and bag set up

I just got these installed this weekend. it is a pretty slick set up for a quick release bag and gas can. here are some pics i also installed a led tail light

Looks good BD... I had that same bag on my 800 last year and it rocks I bought another base to put on my 900 this year. Pretty slick to be able to take the bag off in a half a second and take it with you

What do you think of their gas can setup? I have just been using the traditional 2.5 gallon vented can and the straps on my sled. You think that one is worth the price?

I like that LED setup you went with also, Who did you get those from?

You think that one is worth the price? i think it will work fine got to get gas in it and see how it holds it. one note is they sewed the straps on backwards so i had to twist them to get it to hold in the tie down

I like that LED setup you went with also, Who did you get those from? I got them from brite-lites at the milwaukee show. wired them in with a relay to make them work. i found out how with a search on here. fatboyfrenchy had posted how to make them work

the led's i got from brite-lites and to wire them i had to use a small relay.

you take the hot wire from the sled which is red and run to the 30 terminal and 85 terminal of the relay. the red led wire hooks to the 87 terminal and the orange wire from the sled goes to the 86 terminal on the relay.
then the white wire on the led goes to the brown on the sled and the final wire you have to connect the black from the led to the red wire on the sled.

so you have 3 wires coming off the red wire 2 to the relay and the black from the led. hope that makes sense. they make small relays you can get at radio shack but i used a small automotive relay from a gm product cause i have them on hand at my shop and no radio shack close.

lol...no man i am pretty good with wiring..i used to be a generator mechanic..but thats behind me now and wiring reminds me of it too much..lol..

i like the rack setup bro..you better make sure that you have a shovel to dig me out in island park..you know..since i will be on crutches, i wont be able to do much.
