New forum format

I just click on REPLY.
Seems to work pretty smoothly for me when you want to address a SINGLE comment.

The QUOTE option is designed to allow you to reply to multiple different comments in a single post.

I kan't find a gateway to my "settings" page anywhere.

On the desktop interface.
Go to the top right corner and click on your user name.
Then click on ACCOUNT DETAILS.
Its pretty straight forward.
More or less the same as the old forum where you clicked on USERCP and then EDIT AVITAR

The one that you pointed to, and the reply "box" at the bottom of the page.

Typically the buttons in the post would be labeled "Quote" and "Multi-Quote" if dooing what these doo, but it's just a matter of getting the new stuff fingered out.

When I wanted to quote something, I obviously hit the "quote" button.

So - of all the features that I can find to opt in or out of, that Shoutbox thing doesn't appear to be one of them, and I find it completely worthless and in my face.
Even tho I minimize it, next time I come back - there it is aggin....

Is there any plans to make that optional at some point?

YES!
The Shoutbox that you see right now is TEMPORARY.
We will be installing one that is MUCH more feature rich AND will allow you to DISABLE IT entirely if you do not want to participate.
Meanwhile, you CAN turn this one OFF.
