New Drivers/Anti-Stab kit

Think it is a worthwhile mod? My dad is in the process of doing this to his 163, I am wondering if it would be worth doing it to my 155 as well? I do like the idea of less ratcheting issues (my track stretched pretty bad today) but wonder if it is worth the price/work? It sounds great in theory, all my skud friends run their tracks looser than mine was today when it started to ratchet.

A properly tightened track will perform better then a loose one. The anti ratchets just allow you to be more lazy and not check your tension as often. does not make it that much better cause it's looser.

No, and the reason why is with these single ply tracks, if they arnt tight enough the track is flexible enough to allow the paddles to bend over, proper track tension is important, and running one loose is a big performance loss....... as for tracks..if you do the camo extreme 2.5 track in 2.86 pitch you dont need to change the drivers or add antistabs..but you do need to add an avid drop chaincase to get enough tunnel clearance to allow the track to work to its full potential, with the powerclaw i think you would need both drivers and antistab, and maybe the avid case for proper tunnel clearance(I am sure eric(MH) will chime in here since he knows more then me on running the powerclaw)..personally, unless you find that the area that you ride the most doesnt favor the stock 5.1 track I would just stick with it and make sure its set at proper tension....

Thanks for the info guys! I will just stick with it and keep it at proper tension and save my money for something else. The 5.1 has been working great for me.

You don't need an extended chaincase for the 2.5 extreme. I run it in my 163 and all I can say is this track hauls **s . Unless your an engineer with fancy gagets to test wind and snow movement your will never notice the lack of clearance because all you have is a great :D. As long as the track does not wratchet when you hit the brakes then your fine , this is how I set my track tension and all is fine. Loose tracks are just for bragging. Ever watch someone doing a wheelie and the track looks like it's cooming off the sled, can't tell me that this is the best for rolling resistance and not robbing power to the ground.

French, when you get one of those super deep days(4+ ft) of champayne pow..you will notice the difference with proper tunnel clearrence..I know because we did on the dragons with the 2.5 extreme and the D&R vrs no D&R...in all other conditions..you are right..not a noticable difference.......
