what rpm's are your cluched setups engaging at and do you like it?
is stock supposed to engage at 3700 even above 8,000'?
thanks
my current setup is stock except for a set of 10-60's and engaging at 4400-4500 rpms @7k. i ride between 7-11,000
yes, the dealer clutched it this way for 7k and up. i have a couple spare blue/pink slp springs at the house from my old rig, so i may try those. or i could just swap the clutch. my backup has 10-62's and i have a new set of 64's so i should be able to dial it in.
i'm new to the quick drive so the noise and extra pull may be part of that.
This is what I'm running in my 174. I've found the 174x3 needs to be clutched lighter and with more backshift than a 163x2.6 does.
17 174 with Bikeman pipe, can, y-pipe and Bully Dog program.
8-10,000 elevation
SLP Magnum Force weight - no added weight
SLP blue/pink primary
Black/purple secondary with one dehlrin
Stock 40 helix
Pulls 8300-8400 all day long whether climbing, in the powder or down the trail. I like the stock primary spring better for low speed crawling, but peak RPM aren't as consistent as the SLP blue/pink.
What's the consensus for a helix?
Running a BMP head/y/pipe with bd tune, 155 x 2.6"
from 2-6500'..
The axys 800 motors start to retard timing at 8300. 8150 to 8250
Is the best. Mine pulled 8300 to 8400 after it broke in so I kept adding weight till the rpms came down gained 2-3 mph track speed.
