new chasis from polaris???

no i havent been drinking but i caught a little more than a rumor but was wondering if anyone new more than i did that would come out with it but im assuming all the brands are putting new chassis on the snow testing most of the time regardless of when the last one came out

So where did you hear this rumor? You need to bring more to the table than, "I heard".

Why would Polaris have a new chassis? 600/700 would make sense, but an all new chassis? no way.

Go back to the Ski Doo section.

I would think Cat would be the one's coming with a new chassis.

do you think new chassis are made over night? Of course polaris is testing a new one. they were testing the pro within a year of the dragon being released.

I was told by a polaris engineer about the pro back when the 900's first came out in 05..he wouldnt give specifics but he said what comes after the mystical creature will be what you really want to buy..this was after a training class......it takes quite a few years(4-5 ) to bring a new sled to market...its not an overnight deal..many never make it past prototype development....

I dont see whats so hard to belive about it. My guess would be this is the new race chassis. The IQR has been around since 05.

I was just about to say the same. The 2012 IQR is more than likely going to be sporting the Pro/Rush style cast bulkhead, reworked body panels, and a torsional spring skid. I'm saving my monoblock 800 motor for this chassis.

I would bet that it could be the new IQR. I heard a "good" rumor that it was going to be released at the X Games. It was just a rumor though so I never really passed it on.

It's a little early, but come February we will start to see what is coming out for next year.

ok more than a rumor they were testing at a trail head around were i ride but they are very careful about people seeing it. i do not know if it is a race chassis or not but now that its mentioned i'd think that's what it is.

I ride a Polaris, maybe they should focus their attention on a reliable motor before they build a new chassis!!!

I am pretty happy with Polaris right now. All they really need to do at this point is a newer IQR and a direct injected engine. And maybe a Rush switchback as micky mentioned.

A direct injected Rush Pro-r 800 switchback would be the ultimate sled for me.

where is that at? i'd say where you are seeing them should tell you what they are testing. if they are at 8000 ft i'm guess they are not testing a race sled that they intend to be on a track under 3000 ft, same with a new mountain sled, they aren't going to be testing a new one of them at 1500 ft.

I can understand your frustration, but that's what development does. They moved to the Pro Ride and that seems to be working well. They had problems with the 900/755 and decided to kill it. Good decision. Looks to me like they are moving forward and hopefully that reliability will come with it.

I got one of the good ones, wish I could sell it for a new Pro Ride. The re-sale value of my Dragon sucks no one wants them, I blame that on Polaris. Hopefully the new stuff will make us all forget the 900/IQ 800 disasters!!!
