This is how the new extreme is. Just cut off every other of the small side lugs and your good to go, or get different avids that fit the track.

Grinreeper did u cut off every other small lug on the outside. Wont it ratchit easier with out that outside drive lug?

Trust me you have to cut them off to get the avids to fit. All the guys with powerclaws and avids have done the same for several years.

Theoretically it will ratchet easier bit Ive not seen a problem on my sled. Pretty loose track and big horsepower. Zero ratchet issues.

Thank u zipperno I will get to cutting. I was just worried about ratchiting but if I gotta cut it that not a prob. Wonder why camo went to the small lugs my buddy has my old 07 m1000 and the stock track came with the small lugs. I put a diff track on it and cut down the outer lugs then he changed the track when he got it 3 years ago and never cut the outer lugs down and hasn't had a prob.

Sorry, After closer investigation (turned shop lights on), every 2nd lug has in-fact been trimmed. would never have known based on performance.

I trimmed every other small lug and is all installed ready to try it out this weekend thanks for all the help guys sledhead162

they did it in order to get clearance to cat diamond drive.a maverick track mounted on cats rubs the diamond drive with the normal sized outside drive tabs.

Update on the track after one ride it was well worth the money and for just driving the track with the anti ratchets and the inside lugs it never ratcheted once and the track was hanging 2 inches after it got loosened up

with it hanging 2" do you need to tighten? Or is the 2" mark what you want?

Iv always ran my tracks as loose as possible with out ratcheting and have never had a problem. I really don't think there is a magic number cause there is to many variables. my opinion it depends on things like HP,track, drivers, suspension setup and snow conditions. looser the better in my book less resistance more power.
