What really are the benifits of this? Any one do it? What are the noticable differences? Thanks

I just finished mine last night. It looks better on the shop floor!! I won't know if it makes any difference for another week....first trip of the year to Revy!!

The benefit of the 09 back end is you don't drag the back end when side hilling and when it starts to trench in.

Let me know how you like it. Thanks for the comments guys.

Hey Mike, how does your sled run now with out the BD on it? Also what fuel are you running around here with your pipe?

Had a friend chip about 25 Pounds more snow & ice out of the tunnel of a 07' 162 M8 versus a 09' 162. Yes he actually weighed both . The tapered tunnel also doesn't drag through the deep snow as hard as the older tail.

Took the BD off and runs really good. I was using UFA reg but I'll switch to the neufeld premium. What do you think about their fuel???

Perfect, I think I'll bit the bullet yet. Would it be easy to do myself? Or should I get the local AC guy to do it for me?

It's kind of like following two women down the street. One weighs 300 lbs. and the other 110. Which rear end looks better? Which one is going to hang up in the snow sooner. I knew there was a similarity with sleds somewhere in there.

Interesting. And you didn't have any issues with our reg with your pipe? If my possible buyer for the D8 buys it, I'll also be on an 09 M8, and temped to do the pipe as well. But not sure what to run for fuel in it around here. I haven't even run their premium, and I would have a hard time putting that in my sled. But I know a few guys here who do use it and don't have problems. But I have also heard their premium has about the same octane rating as out reg at UFA. Not sure how true that is though.

Talked to Neufeld, they stand behind it being 92 octane. Ne problems yet. Took it for a spin. Exhaust temp was only about 1000 +-. So that cool considering. Love the slp. Love the power and the sound. Would also recomend the RKT helix kit with springs. When we get more snow, let me know and I'll let you take it for a spin. She pulls good.

Awesome. Good to hear. I just hope it's a consistent 92 every time. Their reg gas can be very good, or it can be bad. I have never run their 92 but if it's consistently good then I might start.

Awesome sounds good. Rode an 09 1000 the other day, has the slp kit as well, sounds really nice. He hadn't touched his boondocker or clutching yet, so he wasn't gaining much, but he should after he gets it dialed.

What is the slp suppossed to add for the M8? I would say Its running better without the BD plugged in. By the way. get the boss or 2010 seat. you'll be glad you did. No matter how hard it is. You don't sit much anyway.

Yep 2010 seat is in the plans for almost right away. I'm not a fan of the low seat.

Funny...seems like I'm reading two threads in one.

haha maybe you are?...? No I bought my last sled from him, grew up neighbors and live about two miles apart. :) So we know each other, gives for strange off topic topics. haha

If you can run a drill & a rivet gun you can handle this. You can get all the parts from Arctic Cat or use the BDX tail I heard it bends easy though, or van amburg. I had the Van Amburg on my 05 M really liked it, my 07' has all 09' factory parts on it.
