new around here

Hello people may name is Joe and I am new to Washington. I moved here from Alaska and cant wait to get in some great sledding. I am looking forward to meeting some great people and climb some big mnts. So it would be great to hear from anyone that has a little extra room in the group. And lend a little help on elevations and some good places to ride!

Where in WA are you? We always have room for one more. More hands helps to get the the buried sleds out:) Lots of good riding around here. I think you will find most of it between 3,000 & 6,000 ft.

Welcome, these guys are a great bunch, just don't let all the smack talk fool you.

Best thing to do is watch the forums during snow season. There is always people looking for people to ride with, as personal commitments sometimes make riding partners hard to find...

Fixed it

You know, it does make me wonder though, as I think half my miles were with you.... Hear, have some :wine:

That's just beautiful, man..!!

Another thread, good meaning, well intended, nicely started, hi-jacked to the lowest levels of SW. And it wasn't even Gravy...:p

Lived in Enumclaw for several years... LOVED IT. Miss the view, the room, the cows, the town (the locals, not the urban transplants..) but NOT the commute when I had to go through that hell hole, Maple Valley.

Joe, where in Ak are you from? I moved down from Anchorage/Eagle River 6 months ago, am debating whether to have my sleds shipped down or not. (I live in Vancouver now.)
I just have a HARD time visualizing winter after spending time here last "winter" and coming from Ak where there is snow on the ground and only a short drive to the deep stuff.
Anyone want to edumacate me on riding areas near the Vancouver/Portland area?
