New Arcit Cat owner checking in!

Took the sled out to Daniel's summit ... baseless champagne powder ... maybe 2' of it ..

Got enough of a ride in to say that I'm definatley impressed with the M chassis coming from an IQ chassis .... SOOOOOOO much easier to ride, much better balanced, more controllable....

I'm not upset I didn't get the M1000 at al. That M8 is pretty damned manueverable. Dude I rode with all day today was on the same sled, M1000 trim .... that sled is awfully hard to manuever in anything less than 4' of powder it appears ....

I'm pretty stoked on this sled :) I can't wait to get to to rabbit ears after a snowstorm :D

I actually am running the skis off of an assualt on my 07. Do those skis not fit the newer m's. its generally a cheaper alternative to sly's or powder pros

the 09 m1 is not that much different, setup is key.
The first thing I would do to a 09 m8 is a full slp exhaust, lots of vents, remove the snow flap(it doesn't catch any snow anyway) put a 150 psi in rear skid shock and barely any pre load on the front skid shock. Then it will hands down beat a 09 stock m1000.

Agreed, But Leave the exhaust until later.
Try simple mods for now, don't turn this into the 900

How long have you been around the m8, The m8 is and never will be anything like the 900. the slp pipe is pull and go without a fuel controller( I would add one and egts just because I like fine tunning but its not need) I have seen so many of these with just a pipe I'm not sure I've seen a stock m8 for quite some time. AC is the real deal when it comes to mods, why to you think its the most popular two stroke turbo.

They are the best stock ski in my opinion. let me know if it works

Here are all the mods this sled will ever see:

1.) Clutching (shift kit for secondary, proper weights and spring for primary)

2.) Carl's Modified SLP Powder Pro

3.) Side panel vents

4.) 2" AMP riser

that pretty much sums it up. I'm not gonna screw with this thing. I actually want to have a sled I just pull the rope and go on :)

Thats the good thing about the M8, easy bolt on hp if you need it later on.

Get the suspension setup for you and you will really like the sled.

I loved my 9 but I spent to much time working on it.

I forgot the shift assist and eventually you will need to replace the secondary rollers with some harder ones, and I would bet its not long before you want the shocks revalved.
