New addition to "will it fit in my truck" threads....

When I was in college we got three 136" sleds on a homemade sled-deck. It was on a long bed 3/4 ton so almost like cheating I guess. I wish I would have put down the beer and picked up a camera....

Worked better than I thought it would!

^ Nice! I knew you were from BC without even looking with a yoda like that :D

Man there are some good ones in here....2 sleds in the GM shortbox is winning so far, can anyone top that???

I saw a guy with a newer shortbed toyota.. had 1 sled in the back.. but the sled was sticking way out... he had his tailgate down, but looks like he had a custom thing made... went in his hitch and it went out the back to bout 4" in from the back of the track and went up to form a brace... so his hitch was holding the back of the sled up... was kinda cool...

Anyone ever seen a sled in a van? My buddy picked up a 89 Ford Econoline 4x4 van last week. He's convinced he can throw open the doors and drive his sled right in.

Coming home from work last week, a guy in a 1/2 ton Dodge with a double sled deck on it, passed me. He had 4 quads on the deck. They were loaded with the front tires pointing straight up, side by side. I didn't even see any straps on them. Until then I thought I'd seen everything.

^^Tell him it will fit. It is always much more enertaining then him not even trying. Havent seen to many overloaded sleds but have seen a guy with a big Dixon lawnmower ontop of his POS Buick car's trunk and rear window. You know that didnt end without at least the rear window going out.

My dad had an 86 Ford Econline cargo van once upon a time.. a short track woulda fit no prob.. doors open to allow for a 4ft opening... longer sled ya might need to leave the rear doors open for though...

AKRMK05,
Where you at turny 26 Jan 08 with the sleds loaded that way? If so, it was you I was talking about in the parking lot. I thought they were both loaded front ways. At least you covered them:D
