Please just wanting imput from stock pro sled performance. Any trouble heating up when not in powder with 3" ?? Does 3" push ya around when snow sets up? Would also like imput from anyone running the newer softer peak and the 2.6 powerclaw. Can ya stay with 8 tooth drivers running the 2.6 powerclaw? We just might need a little track help over the 5.1 stocker to run with our buds on their new 2015 XM 3". Several of us have been discussing tracks for next yrs Pro sleds, so I told them I'd reach out and see what you all had to say. Thanks

What year of pro are you running?

I ran my 3" last Saturday on rock hard snow and it was hitting about 148 - 165 with the scratchers down. The stock 155 pro that was with us was seeing about 155. Either way we all took many breaks to let everything cool down on the way up. I may try some engine ice to see if it helps but last Saturday was pretty much a worse case scenario.

Also what kind of snow conditions are you mostly looking to do better in? And what snow do you see most often?

Running side by side with a stock Pro 163" and my stock Pro 162" X3 on Saturday saw temperatures staying within 10 degrees of each other on a long trail ride in to the area where we were going. Never over 160. The X3 does push a little on firm snow. It is tolerable and controllable. On the other hand, it goes up anything that you want to in that snow and it offers better braking on the way down. It is not perfect but what is? I am happy with the conversion and feel that it was a worthwhile investment. Good clutching and shock setup are very important if you are going to run the X3.

I have been running the new 163 softer peak track all year. It is much better than the hard version of the years before. It has awesome powder traction and still really bites in set up snow. I honestly think its better than the CE 2.5. All of those tracks are better than the stock track. just depends on the riding you do.

Running a 2014 now, looking to change track on new 2015 for next yr. I run in about every kind of snow there is, I travel from Revy in Canada early season to Wy mid season, ride home state of Wa an hit Idaho, Oregon, and Montana. Then back to Pemberton Ice fields in Canada to finish up the yr. OK OK... yes I consider my self very lucking. lol
