NEVER ride alone, and ALWAYS wear a tether...

Was there just some snow under the flipper when it rolled?? Or was the throttle cable safety switch bypassed?? Not that it matters, just curious.
I have ridden almost 40 years and just started wearing a tether the last couple....I'm a slow learner :face-icon-small-win

Why aren't all sleds still equipped with tether?
I remember growing up you never saw a sled without...

Obvious, weight savings! :face-icon-small-ton After a rider losing an arm, riders totalling sleds, and this guy could have lost his life, no reason not to use one or to have one. JMO

This is a great thread! the information about wearing a tether is right on! to insure we dont hurt ourselves we should all wear a tether; more importantly is keeping others safe around us! I ride a 2013 freeride; the day after jackson hole (my sled rolled a bunch....of course) I went for a ride with a couple buddies. After the first mile up the road my throttle stuck wide open and if I didnt have my tether on I would have killed the family sitting on the side of the trail. It just so happens that my air-box broke after rolling down Jackson and a chunk stuck in my throttle bodies. The point is if we all exercise common-sence we can prevent accidents!

TRUST ME, YOU DONT WANT TO GET SUCKED INTO YOUR TRACK......BEEN THERE DONE THAT!

Lets all bust the piggy-bank and buy a chest-protector also.....I dont ride without one!

:face-icon-small-dis If this doesn't get you to wear a tether nothing will :face-icon-small-sad I feel bad for the guy, had to go thru a lot in the last month, and it looks like it's going to be a while before he'll ride again. Good luck on your recovery, wouldn't wish that on anybody.

we found the guy through our Swedish distributor.

he says he is doing good and very grateful to be semi-okay.

We will send him a new jacket this fall (out of product now) for his to replace his MotorFist jacket he destroyed here.

He is very positive about things. We were shocked at the recent pics of his back and arm. it is unreal......Lucky his buddy was near.
