if they dont have the TSS98, they are using the TSS04 (lightweight) not much difference, just lighter overal (1lb) which is minimal on the secondary since they dont spin like the primary (also uses a different style helix...4bolt vs the 8bolt)

ebay has the best deals on the clutches...on average $80-100...but try and get one thats clean, and doesnt have the helix bolts rusted or you will hate yourslef trying to clean it and get the helix bolts off...TRUST ME, lol...

The main reason to use the a TSS-98, or a TSS-04 would be that the "trail and error" clutching setup/calibration has already been done with this.

IMO... The lighter weight of the TSS-04 is not as critical on the big torquey 900's as it would be with a 6/7/800

The other two clutches that you are asking about are top notch units... you would be reinventing the wheel though instead of riding.

If your secondary is shot... you should have the primary completly gone thru as well, re surface the faces, balance, new bushings, set clearances.

They both need to work as a system... both need to be in top notch shape to get the most out of your sled.
